📖 Frequently Asked Questions

❓ How do I search for players?
1. Go to the Player Search tab (search icon)
2. Enter the Dota 2 player's Account ID (e.g., 123456789)
3. Tap Search to view statistics and match history

Note: You need the Account ID, not the Steam Profile URL. Find Account ID on OpenDota or in-game.
❓ How do I create a new guild?
1. Go to the Guilds tab (users icon)
2. Tap the + button in the top-right corner
3. Fill in the guild name and required information
4. Tap Save to create the guild

The guild will be saved on your device.
❓ How do I add players to a guild?
1. Open the guild you want to add members to
2. Tap Add Member
3. Search for a player by Account ID
4. Select the player from search results
5. Tap Add to add them to the guild
❓ How do I edit guild or member points?
1. Open the guild detail page
2. Tap Edit on guild points or member points
3. Enter the new point value
4. Tap Save to update

Points are stored locally and can be edited anytime.
❓ Is data synced across devices?
No. Currently, Guild Pulse stores all data (guilds, members, points) on your device using a local database (Sembast).

If you delete the app or switch devices, data will be lost. Cloud sync may be added in a future version.
❓ Does the app collect personal information?
No. Guild Pulse does not collect, store, or share any personal information.

- No tracking
- No ads
- Only uses OpenDota API (public data)

❓ Why can't I find a player?
Possible reasons:
- Wrong Account ID: Make sure you entered the correct Account ID (integer, not Steam URL)
- No data on OpenDota: Player must have at least one public match
- Private profile: If the player's profile is private, OpenDota cannot access it
- Connection error: Check your internet connection
❓ Does the app support Dark Mode?
Yes! Guild Pulse uses Dark Mode by default to optimize for long gaming sessions.

Dark Mode is designed with Material Design 3 and automatically follows your system settings.

🔧 Troubleshooting

âš ī¸ App crashes or lags
Try these steps:
1. Force close and reopen the app
2. Check iOS version (requires iOS 13.0+)
3. Restart your device
4. Delete and reinstall the app (data will be lost)
5. If the issue persists, contact support
âš ī¸ Match history won't load
- Check your internet connection
- OpenDota API may be rate-limited. Wait 1-2 minutes and try again
- If the player has many matches, API loading may be slow
âš ī¸ Lost guild data after updating app
Guild data should be preserved after updates. If you lost data:
- Confirm you updated the app, not deleted and reinstalled
- Check if any guilds remain in the list
- Contact support with your app version info (Settings > About)
